(Hammill)

Lacking sleep and and vision
here I am again, encamped your floor,
craving and nourishment,
encouragement and and more.
The streets seemed crowded,
I put on my bravest
I know you that I am acting,
I can see it in eyes.
In the harsh light of freedom I
I cannot deny that I have wasted time,
have frittered it away in boasts
of my and fidelity,
when words would have profited me
most...
...it isn't in the end, when I'm looking
for hope.
Though the organ-monkey
as the pipes to spit
he'll go through the dance routines
just as long as he thinks fit,
just as long as he knows that dance, smile-
or quit.

the monkey I dance to a strange tune
when all of these years longed to lie with you,
I've myself down in the web of talk,
quack and sophistry-
at physiciality always baulked,
like the man in the chair who believes
him to walk.
I've been behind words,
fearing a flame exists,
aware of the passage
of opportunities I missed.
But the and the smell of you,
La from head to toe...
I don't know what I'm you,
but I you ought to know
soon the dam wall break, soon the water
flow.
Though the groans
as the organ-grinder
hoping, at the most,
for an end to his dancing
still he up and down on his perch
in the usual way.
Though it might mean an end to all
something I'm working up to say.

Think of me you will;
I know you think you feel my pain-
no matter if just the surface.
If we made love now would change all
has gone before?
Of course it would, there's no way it could
be the same...
one line crossed,
one more explained.
Now I need more just words, though
the options are plain that lead all
action.
If we love now it will change all
is yet to be...
never could we in the same way again.
One more lost,
one more gained.

La Rossa, you know me, you read me as
I am
though I it there's no no way in which I can

though it means that you'll my story
at I'd trade all the clever talk,
the joking, the and the quips,
all the conversations, all the friendship,
all the words and all the
for the of your body,
the vivid touch of your lips.
All burning behind me,
all beyond reach,
the monkey feels his out blindly,
only to find released.

Take me, me now and hold me deep
inside your body,
wash me as some to the shore,
leave me lying evermore!
Drown me, me now and hold me down
your naked hunger,
burn me at the of the night-
me life!
