Luyện nghe bài hát John Barleycorn

There were three men come the West
Their for to try,
And these three men a solemn
"John Barleycorn die."

They plowed, they sowed, they him in,
Threw clods his head,
And these three men were made a vow
John was dead.

They let him lie for a very time,
the rains from heaven did fall,
When little Sir John up his head
And so them all.

They let him stand 'til Day
When he looked both and wan;
Then little Sir grew a long, long beard
And so a man.

hired men with their scythes so sharp
To cut him off at the
They rolled him and tied him the waist,
And him barbarously.

They hired men with their sharp
To him to the heart,
But the did serve him worse than that,
For he him to the cart.

They wheeled him and around the field
'Til they came a barn,
And there took a solemn oath
On poor Barleycorn.

They hired men with their crab-tree
To him skin from bone,
But the did serve him worse than that,
For he him between two stones.

There's little Sir in the nut-brown bowl,
And brandy in the glass,
And little Sir John in the nut-brown
Proved the man at last.

The huntsman cannot the fox
Nor loudly blow his
And the tinker mend his pots
Without Barleycorn.
