Jesus Tore The Veil

Jesus died and rose again
and when he did he tore that veil in two
Down into the depths to find the keys to loose the chains and make us new
He saw death and kept his head
and we're forever in his debt
can't measure it

Jesus tore the veil and consequently he exposed both me and you
Everything behind the curtain thrust into the light of
frightening truth
And in our sheer embarrassment
He held out his steady hand
And offered it

I am saved
He came for me
That everything
Could be redeemed
In my shame

Now the veil is torn
we can't forget what grace compels us now to do
His love is in forgiveness and forgiveness He has offered me and you
say to the outcast "you belong"
for in your weakness you are strong
because He lives
