Jesus Christ was a man who traveled the land
Hard man and brave

So laid Jesus Christ in his grave.

His true and brave
One dirty little called Judas Iscariot
Has Jesus Christ in his grave
He went to the sick, he to the poor,
And he to the hungry and the lame;
Said that the poor would one day win world,
And so they Jesus Christ in his grave.
He went to the preacher, he to the sheriff,
Told them all the
Sell all of your and give it to the Poor,
But they laid Jesus in his grave.
When Jesus came to town, the working around,
Believed he did say;
The and the preachers they nailed him on a cross,
And they Jesus Christ in his grave.
Poor working people, they him around,
Sung and shouted
Cops and the soldiers, they him in the air,
And they nailed Christ in his grave.
Well the people held their breath when they about his death,
And wondered why;
It was the landlord and the that he hired.
That nailed Jesus in the sky.
When the love of the shall one day turn to hate.
When the patience of the gives away
"Would be better for you if you never had been born"
So they laid Christ in his grave.
