In Bethlehem he first came
God himself born as a babe
The humble manger he was placed
Became the home of one who saves

Jesus Christ the incarnation
The prophets of old foretold his coming
The shepherds honored his humble station
The lowly babe who saved the nations

To Egypt they fled, babe and all
At the angels word to wisemen tall
They came to honor the Son of God
Following the star from near and far

In Nazareth they made their home
Near Jez-reel Jesus grew tall
In stature and wisdom he grew in favor
The sacrifice of nations, the hope of us all

The gracious king, emptied of his glory
The humble one born as a baby
Honor the virgin, the prophets, the agents
Of Gods plan to save the nations
