In a country churchyard a preacher with his people
Gathered all around to a man and woman,
Spring is here and turtle doves are singing the steeple,

The overgrown, the church lies in ruins,
Ivy on the walls and ravens round above me
As I made my way the last remaining headstone,
I fell to my knees, the lines beneath the leaves,
And it seemed to me
I heard the like singing in the trees...
