Hourglass

I witnessed time flying right by us and it's speed was alarming
pages torn right out of calendars oh how the winter leads to spring
naivity turns into wisdom "take a bite" he said and she did
but knowledge always comes at a price oh we were young and so innocent

But that was then and this is now things have changed
and in the end we'll realize they stayed the same
