1.I make a phone call to my mate
Hes a big name he is so great
I hope hell help me get a break
This hoping humans will help me
2. And then it ends up that he cant
What a big disappointment
But he gives me a referee

3. So I try contacting this guy
But end up getting no reply
So I let out another sigh
This hoping people will help me
4. The people at this crazy gig
Think I am great I will be big
The sounds I make they really dig
This hoping people will help me
5. Their talk helps me keep carrying on
Writing new melodies and songs
Hoping that it will not be long
Hoping that people will help me
6. After some time I start to learn
As on this learning wheel I turn
Not many do you a favor
Without wanting one in return
7. People will say youre good you see
If thru your art they make plenty
Of filthy lucre called money
This hoping humans will help me
8. On human beings you cant depend
Their false flattery never ends
Thats why Ive found there is no sense

9. So I have put my hope right now
In the hands of the Higher Power
If He cant help me no-one can
And least of all feeble humans
