One has seen the power and the glory
Whom shall save us from ourselves at last?
Prophets tell of latter years in mourning
Voices cry out warnings from the past

Disciples of the Dead Sea Scrolls are preaching
The soul of man lived from the dawn of time
With every passing day, mankind is reaching
For the gift of truth from the divine

Do we believe in the holy martyr?
What is the secret yet to be unveiled?
Offerings are made upon the altar
Hallowed be thy name, or has he failed?

Reverence is easy when you sing a gospel hymn
For the moment tranquil feelings do arise
But as trials and tribulations of your world begin
What once was truth is sabotaged by lies
