Last night I heard the voice
Through the grass and trees

please don't make it break down"

Walking down the steps alone
I saw the shining ghost

There's a place out on the midtown
Shutdown factories and dead land
I used to see the river flowing
through the red and black piles
No one playing over there any more

Last night you watched the sky
Through the smoky glass

Going down the slope alone
You saw the shining star

There's a place out on the downtown
Broken cars and bikes and wild dogs
You can hear the music flowing
through the dull and dusty crowd
