I heard a sound, it made me round

just behind a ledge
There was a man he to and fro
away at a hedge

Suddenly I heard a singing
But he was nowhere to be

Pulling my up to my knees
I across the stream
Back to the place where I could sounds
And where the old man had been
just behind a ledge
I looked about, I make out
Where he had been the hedge

I could not hear what he was
But I my ears ringing with the sound
