Griselda is greedy, I'm to say.
She isn't contented four meals a day,
Like and dinner and supper and tea

is greedy as greedy can be.

She snoops the larder
For sundry supplies,
She breaks the little crusty
Off of apple pies,
She the roast-potato-dish
When dinner's done,
And if there are two in it
Griselda one;
chicken and cold cauliflower
She pulls in little
And Cook calls:
"What are you there?"
bunks.

Griselda is greedy. Well, how she feels,
She can't help eating in-between meals,
And forgets what it's leading to, though
The Doctor has frequently told "You know
Why, you?"
the stomach-ache starts and Griselda says:
"Oh!"

She slips to the dining-room
everyone's in bed,
For on the supper-tray,
And crusts of bread,
A from the biscuit-box,
sugar from the bowl,
A gherkin the pickle-jar,
Are all Griselda's
She the salted almonds,
And she tries the fruits-
And Dad shouts:
"Who is it below?"
scoots.

Griselda is greedy. Her scold,
And tell her how sorry she'll be when old,
She lose her complexion, she's sure to grow fat,
She will spoil her inside-does she what she's at?-
(Why do they?)
people are greedy. Leave it at that.
