Grace Found Me

In a quiet room not a sound was made
surrounding a body that began to fade
the family wondered if the Lord would save his soul.

He'd often said what the Lord couldn't do
He can't save me not what I've been through
he was big and strong but his time had finally come

So the family gathered and began to pray
how would they know if he found grace
he had heard it many times before but he can't hear it now

And in the quiet of that moment
Jesus came to him
he said the devil came to get me but the Lord wouldn't let me go

cuz He found me
grace found me
the Lord reached down and touched me
and He set me free
I didn't know what Jesus had in store
but in my greatest moment of need
grace found me

I too had walked down a lonely road
I hid my face out from the cold
I shook my fist at the Lord and said leave me alone

But then I read the story of the prodigal son
who'd lost his way, he'd come undone
so I cried out to the Lord please let me come home

And in the quiet of that moment
Jesus came to me
