Good Mistakes

A little boy came up to me with a question,
he was looking for some advice on his own life.
I told him I was young, but I had a little wisdom,
he didn't think it'd really go quite like...

People judge books by covers,
say, "Hey there brother."

Who are you? I know I've made mistakes in my day.

The very next day I saw that boy at the station,
his face was red, his eye was black, the blood was bright.
I said, "Hey buddy, where was the invitation?"
I didn't think my advice would go quite right...

But then he said, "Some kids judge by covers,
but i sure showed them brother!"
