Futz Said Julie

There we stood on our dark and isolated planetoid
Shivering like a San Andreas windowpane.
Suddenly looking up and seeing for the first time

Vain attempts with rocks to dislodge the thing
Failed like spring-loaded boots and cowboy lassoing.
