My saint's a man who went
from town to town and no rent
The he owned besides his soul
were shoes a and a begging bowl.

struck me first when I was young
was how he never got bit or
though bears and snakes he did
real and snakes not just pretend.

I knew this wasn't stuff
because I it myself enough
but bears and snakes ran from me
though dogs and came willingly.

Deep within the calm
he sang a a simple psalm
"Make me an instrument of thy
Let love be sown and cease".

Now me I live beyond my
in the city of lost and dreams
with too many pairs of
that take me and round the blues.

And the price of is never low
or else it worth the go
and time turns out to give
the time it takes to live.

You may not who you are
you get hit by a star
like I did and to say
it on my saint's feast day.
