The little boy first day of school
He got some and he started to draw
He put all over the paper
For was what he saw

And the teacher said, "What you doin' man?"
"I'm flowers" he said
She said, "It's not the for art young man

And she said, "Flowers are red man

no need to see flowers any other way

But the boy said

So many colors in the flower and I see one"

There's ways things should be
And paint flowers the way they are
So after me"

And she said, "Flowers are red, man
And green leaves are
There's no need to see any other way
they way they always have been seen"

But the boy said
"There are so colors in the rainbow
So colors in the morning sun
So many colors in the flower and I see one"

The teacher put him in a
She said, "It's for own good
And you won't out 'til you get it right
And are responding you should"

Well he got lonely
Frightened thoughts filled his
And he up to the teacher
And is what he said

"Flowers are red, and green are green
There's no need to see flowers any way
Than the way they always been seen"

Time went by like it does
And moved to another town
And the little boy went to school
And this is what he

The teacher there was
She said, "Painting be fun
And there are so colors in a flower
So let's use one"

But that boy painted flowers
In neat rows of and red
And when the teacher him why
This is what he

And he
"Flowers are red, and leaves are green
There's no need to see flowers any way
