Paper cuts her throat
And marks her with a scar
Walls are coming down
Feathers torn apart
Beyond the square one
Where the other side awaits
Worm-like streets
Share their cold embrace

Terrorized by the power of the machine
She now realizes, realizes
How easily
The gigantic guardian
Can take a soul for an eye
Set self-esteem in the fire, in the fire
Can't escape the punishment
The animal way
A life beyond the fence

Countless hours that she worked
To make things right
Fighting the clock night after night
Every unwanted deed like windows, to life
She was supposed to live

She isn't crying, not yet
She played her part without regrets
Every door is closed
Wandering around the city
Searching for other ghosts
Throughout their show
Been forced to make a choice
Between the two dark roads

Forgotten and left aside
By those who managed to cross the line
Getting too tired to fight the flow

Humans turned to numbers
Electric shadows
In the eyes of the computer
When it swallows

She isn't crying, not yet
Till the bitter end
She gave her best

Every door is closed
Wandering around the city
