This is the story about Ed & Bettys'
A short time ago it became 'Bed & Eddies'
Cause now it's the place where I hang my hat
Truth be told, it's much more than that

When I needed help, they took me in
With a pick up truck and the hand of a friend
And now it's the place that I call my home
Where I'm always allowed, and I'm never alone

And at the dawning of the day
We've all got something more to say
Talking bout the good times
Old days, goodbyes
Ways that were all the same

Betty is the twin of my long lost dad
Closest thing to his family I ever had
And Ed's got a grin Grand Canyon wide
Always good for a joke, good for a ride

They cook their dinner
We eat fast food
They sleep in pajamas
We sleep in the nude

And they found their love in the Korean War
We found each other back in '94
But at the dawning of the day
There's always something more to say

Well small town living's alright with me
But I've got to search for what I'll believe
And there are so many places yet to go

And the more I see, the less I assume
No average man, no fortunate few
Only me and you and what well show

Now I'm blessed with friends all over the place
With a welcoming couch and a dinner plate
I sing them songs about walking the world
Let the melody out, the meaning unfurl

And just when I think theres nothinmore to see
All the inspirations done run out on me
I'll turn a corner, and there it begins
Its a top rate show, if you take it all in
