We've here a week or so,
Now it's finally to go.
Can't believe how quickly has flown,

up the bathin' suits,
Getting out the boots,
That's a sign we be going home....

Time just stopped for a while,
We were part of a island.
Made a lot of friends we'll for life.
we get back home to Texas,
And they ask us what we most,
shrug my shoulders, and I'll smile....

Early mornings on the long dock,
Drinkin' coffee as the sun up
Lazy days napping in the big chair.
Late dancing in the front street bar,
Walking underneath the stars,
Man it's like some dream we down here....

night we ate conch and lobster.
Mark said it was his dinner,
Maybe the best one of his life.

Chilean and Cuban cigars,
I smiled at him and said you be right....

And he got real quiet, and he you know,
hell I worked all my life,
I a lot of dough.
I've everywhere,
I don't think it gets any better down here.
I mean the warmth and love of the here,
No crime, no hate, or
I don't think I'm for the world waiting for me back there....
