How many Americans do we have in here

In the following September 11th last year
that was a poet or a writer or a song writer of any kind
Had a reason to write some words
Or some thoughts down on a piece of
And I was no different than else

That's what you do you do what I do
And my father in the army in the 50's
He lost his eye in a training combat
He home, he put a flag up at the farm I was raised on

I lost him six months to the attacks on New York city
And the United States and that
Flew out in that yard, it's flown everyday
He raised me right an' he never one time about losing his eye

Never heard him cry about it one
He was glad to go, do it, that's why we're free
And it's our turn to on what our fathers and forefathers did for us
And sure we don't let 'em down

I wrote a song in the following after September 11th
It's the angry American
I wanna send this out to my father
