Dave the dope fiend shootin'

He went outside but was cops all over
Then he dipped a car, a stolen Nova

Crashed a tree near a university

Escaped alive the car was battered
Rat-a-tat-tatted and all the scattered
Ran out of and still had static
Grabbed a pregnant lady, got out the

Pointed at her head and he said the gun was full o'
He told the cops, "Back off or honey dead"
Deep in his he knew he was wrong
So he let the lady go and he to run on

Sirens sounded, he astounded
Before the little boy got surrounded
He dropped the gun, so went the
And this is the way I end this story

He was only seventeen, in a madman's
The cops the kid, I still hear him scream
This ain't funny, so don't ya dare
Just another case 'bout the path
Straight 'n narrow or soul gets cashed
