Calypso Boogaloo

I went to a dance in New York City
Last week saturday night
With a big fat mamma from Mississippi
I really was uptight.
The band started swinging with the Boogaloo
She says "Sparrow, please
I'm gonna teach this dance to you,
take it back to the West Indies" - and she tell me

The Mississippi Mama started working up
more she sweat is more she yell - HEY
Three policemen tried but couldn't make she stop
So they say she crazy like hell.
Then she shoe break and she make fall down
everybody started to laugh
Because she stocking dragging on the ground
and she crash they bust up in half - still she calling:

I felt so good I am telling you
When the steel band started to fight.
Old Harris put me in a taxi
