Broken

I'm on the floor in a million pieces,
Having fallen all alone.
No one could fix me until I mended myself.
Now I'm whole again with cracks in my veneer.
As time moves on I can be less in fear of being broken again.

I was in a hole when you found me,
With nothing to my name.
Ashamed, afraid and alone.
But you looked and you found me,

Broken dreams, I've come to find are not at all.
It's how they shine light on the fact that you were kind.
And I was still there broken.
