If I could record songs right the first time
Then I would record my thoughts
Because the imagery in my head is magical
Too bad tv makes your brain rot
If I could make my words like a poem
I'd recite the same lines till you loved me
If I could pay off my last credit card
Then I'd buy every piece of music for you

And the ear buds make my ears bleed
But I try despite the fact
There's no use it seems
The music rips my brain stem
It's better to accept us all
Than to condemn

I've got no cell phone service
In the corners of my mind
So if i never call you
Just know that I really did try
The bleeding isn't stopping its spreading
It's cancerous, a dangerous thing
If I could just get enough money
Then I'd buy you a diamond ring
