Thou dost quiver and echo songs of the bards,
Long-past years thou dost up and nurture,
Today's forward thou wouldst never retard,
Boldly mysterious futures.
In the sun thou goest bold, lovely of fire,
Gently forth dreams, gold-adornd;
Thou fearest no neighbour, though be his ire,
Thou no path briared and thorny.
From end unto end, frontier unto mound,
On the breezes renewal is now,
And, embracing the soul, without or bound,
Mother-joy for the better day now.
Now are no axes among forests green,
Felling pine-trees in frosty winter,
Now there are no reapers from dawn to seen
In with scythes ringing, glinting.
Strength is known in the hands, tears songs are blithe,
of glory, breasts quiver,

from the depths, thou of falcon-born race,
O'er crosses, their woes, degradation,
O young Bielarus, thou forth, take thy place
Of honour and among nations.
