Awakening

Ive got a heart thats always chasing
What it cannot even see
Is it fate? Or is it purpose?
That is calling and drawing me

A bitter taste
A cruel sting
A restless hope
A fools dream

All the questions swirling round
Its hard to keep my feet on the ground
Sleepless nights, pounding chest
Tearful eyes, needing rest

And I see it
Burning like a star
And I feel it
Crashing through my heart
I cant help but sing
I cant help but sing
I cant help but open up
AWAKENING

Im finding all I am
With an open, empty hand
And it burns, and it burns
Like nothing has before

Through the pain and the broken glass
It cuts my arms and it tears my back
Lifted up I stand at last
AWAKENING
