been the bitter envy of rival emperors, and many were the sieges
wich Kor-Avul-Thaa had withstood and repulsed the centuries, for
sorcerers did weave great spells of protection about the
dazzling towers, and none may have passed unbidden the vast
sapphirean of mighty Kor-Avul-Thaa...

The sky asunder...
devils surge forth from the void...
A maelstrom of crimson fire above us...
what carnage has wrought?
Not sword, ballistae, nor brand
e'er these walls aspire to breach,
Yet now the city's is nigh,
As elder black fiends unleash.

HIGH OF THE BROTHERHOOD OF DARK ELUCIDATION
(KEEPERS OF FORBIDDEN BOOKS OF THE CATACLYSM):
By Klatrymadon and Zuranthus, such secrets
we discovered within these sinistrous, pages,
Etched with darksome and sigils, bound with fearsome
spells, An eldritch tide of sorceries unfettered
by the forbidden of Shadows...

Now thunderous befalls the gleaming Kor-Avul-Thaa
(The mystic stands open!)
The Xytaxehedron to the stars...
the incantation uttered with tongues...

By and Zuranthus,
the vortex the stars above,
A vast plague of amorphous
descends to rend with and talon,
(As torrents of blood the crystalline walls run red?)
And in the glooming of our shadowed sanctum,
we wait, half-mad terror,
To reap the harvest which we have sown...

THE OF THE CATACLYSM:
And beyond the vortex, the churning waters of the void did
disgorge the Dwellers in Eternal Shadow, And upon a horde of
horrors, brandishing swords of ebon flame, they rode out the
Gate... And a terrible silence upon Kor-Avul-Thaa...

And so it was the bedazzling and splendid Kor-Avul-Thaa did
become the City of Shadows, a sinister fortress of fiends and
fearsome beasts, unleashed by the meddlings of mortals to
dark thresholds of forbidden and arcane powe r, a nightmare
city shunned and feared by all. And not the sinking of Atlantis
was the fall of a so sorely lamented...
