I came to this land as a stranger, year by year the deep love grew

For I have heard the Humpback's singing, the ocean filling with the song
I've heard the Bell Bird's chimes come ringing through the misty forest dawn
And I have seen the Braulga's dancing on Dreamtime land at Kakadu

And I've slept in my swag out in the desert, been humbled by infinity
As the moon and the stars in glittering concert, turned desert sand to silver sea
I felt my heart break with the beauty as a red sun set on Ularu
And that's why every road I travel leads always back to you

And I drank with my friends in Boshan City, laughed and sang all through the night
Their friendship is a flame that warms me, their love and care a guiding light
It's a hard and lonely journey without friends to help you through
