Haim (pronounced /haɪm/ to rhyme with "time"[1]) is a rock band from Los Angeles, California.[2][3] The band comprises sisters Este (born March 14th, 1986), Danielle (born February 16th, 1989) and Alana Haim (born December 15th, 1991), along with drummer Dash Hutton, previously a member of Los Angeles bands Wires on Fire and Slang Chicken.[4]
Most frequently compared to Fleetwood Mac,[5] Haim's sound has been described as "nu-folk-meets-nineties-R&B"[2] and "music that sounds like it was written on a lakeside retreat attended by Stevie Nicks, John Waite and En Vogue".[6] The band has not yet released a full album, but they played at the 2013 Glastonbury festival, they earned a top ranking in BBC's Sound of 2013 poll, and signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation management group.
